Hi all,
I've noticed while bathing my 11 month old Eastern Hermann's that it seems to have only 3 claws. Actually it looks like 4, but two are fused together.
I thought maybe they were stuck together from dirt... But looking back at photos of when we first got it, it had 3 claws back then too. I just never noticed..
There are 4 claws each on its hindlegs.
We have had it for about a week now. So far it has no problems eating, quite tame (doesn't hide or run away) and generally no problems roaming and climbing up slopes, etc.
Is it just a quirk of mother nature? Or something to be checked out further?
