Opinions please: I was tired of fighting with the CHE to stay at the right temp so I got the Zilla Temperature controller. The first one did not work at all, so they replaced it. This one works, but it's a guessing game with the settings and actual temperature. Should I return this one and go for something like the Jump Start or Inkbird?
*Also* if the temperature stays at 90 do I need to worry about how far away the CHE is from his shell? I'm trying to keep everything enclosed to help regulate humidity and heat gradient.
Thanks all!

I use the hydrofarm thermostat. For less than $30 it has a digital setting so I don't have to guess what the dial is set to. I've had 3 of them with no issues.
The one in my leopard's tort house has been in constant use for 4 years so far and works just as well as it did the first day. Hoping for many more years!

I use Ranco's. A bit pricey but they last forever and can run many enclosures at once.

Hi,
First I bought this one
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0018CLYNG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc

But it seems to not working properly ( light was off and CHE stayed on..)

I just got this one this last week end

On the INKBIRD 2 CHE and a humidifier are connected to it and the unit recognizes them and manages them separately.
Seems to be good stuff for our loving:tort:indoor's life.

If you just need temp controller

I am a beginner but when you ask the question :
*Also* if the temperature stays at 90 do I need to worry about how far away the CHE is from his shell?

I will answer .....common sense
Leave your hand underneath and you will have the answer :)
