How awesome. Have to ask, how do you know these are specifically Syrian locale Greek tortoises? The whole mosaic of "Greek tortoises" is so fascinating. They are beautiful. : )

This is what there sold as on their site,I'm only guessing but it's probably what they're importers are saying. One thing for sure is I've been dealing with the middle eastern greeks for years and these are for sure different than those that are being labeled as Jordan or Jordian greeks even most I've had and were and are being sold as Syrian greeks. Most of the ones I've seen being sold as Syrian greeks look like the Jordan greeks in my opinion, but what has set these apart from most is the skin color, head shape ,shell color and shell shape and really I think it's the head shape and shell shape that makes me believe they are Syrian greeks since most caring the label Syrian greeks look exactly like the Jordan greeks that have been imported for years now.Either way I would just call them middle eastern greeks but since this there label I think I'll stick with it because these look way different than those being labeled Syrian greeks which really gives these the edge over the others plus they are the only ones that have seen that have different looking features from the Jordan greeks. They are different I'm sure of that and I'm looking to put a big captive breeding group together for the future BeeBee..

I love it. The little middle eastern wherever they are exactly from Greeks are the coolest and I love that you got some from a locale, and you feel confident that they are distinct. Memo to self: Get some Syrian babies from James1974 in the future. They are rad! : )
