10 years ago I rescued an adult female Testudo graeca Iberia from a turtle soup shop here in Hong Kong; I have since been on the look out for a male, to no avail. I have been wondering whether it is possible to breed her with a male Testudo graeca terrestris as they are abundant here. Is this possible? Has it been successfully done?

thanks for your opinions

Yeah, it's probably possible since subspecies can sucessfully interbreed. But why would you want to create a hybrid offspring that is neither an Ibera or a Terretris? In general "designer" tortoises are usually sought after by keepers or breeders.

Can you post carapace and plastron pictures of your T.g.ibera? That way we can make sure it really is a T.g.ibera. :)
