I have a baby Sulcata that is about 2 months old. How often should I sprinkle calcium on it's food? Some say 3 times a week, some say daily. How often should I give it Herptivite? Also, I have been taking my tort outside for an hour or two daily. I know that when torts get sunlight on a regular basis, the calcium with Vitamin D3 isn't needed. Well, we're going to start having some chilly weather here in New Orleans, so I won't be able to bring my tort out like I have been. How often should I supplement with calcium with D3 during fall/winter months? Also, I've read that many tort owners in this forum use TNT (Total Nutrition for Tortoises). I may order this. Will using this particular supplement truly eliminate the need to use ANY other supplement? What are your opinions on this supplement?

I would only use calcium 2 times a week with a good aired diet. As for the d3, for winter, I use once a week. I don't know that the TNT eliminates using any other supplements. See what others say on that

I like to use calcium once a week and TNT once a week - minimal amounts of both. Mine love to munch on their cuttlebones, and I feed high calcium greens so I don't worry too much about it. I live in So Cal so I never supplement with vitamin D. Hopefully, you can get some input from someone in your area.
