2014 rescues #31 & 32.jpg

I was told the larger of these two was two years old. The other is 6 months old.

Does Any 1 have a pic of a 2-3year old Sulcata

What is it you are looking to see? Their growth rates can vary tremendously. Within that age range they could be 3 inches or 18. I have a five year old female that is over 50 pounds. She lives with another female that was only about 4 pounds at 3 years old.

Deal All,

Can someone advise and tell me why every sulcata's shell looks different color and shape?

I always wonder this question, My sulcata is almost 3 years old, most yellow color and a bit brown on the shell

Different genetics and different environments.

Just like people. Some are tall and some are short. Some have a lot of pigment, some have very little. We even have albino humans too. So many different sizes, shapes and appearances, yet we are all the same species.

While we're near the subject take a browse and see if you can find the albino sulcata picture they are quite interesting. There are people who breed different snakes and tortoises for specific colors/patters. I always look at my leopards and think how they just dont look quite the same .

Raised separate but equal environments and feeding. So like they said no real measuring format
