Hello,

So I currently have two tortoises in an acre enclosure. They each have a separate space to go at night. I never have seen them interact in the 8 months they have lived together.

Today I saw the male Leopard tortoise (much smaller) mounting the female Sulcata. Should I separate them or rehome one to avoid stressing the female?

Thank you in advance!

You have plenty of room to separate them. If you build the two heated shelters right next to each other, one on each side of the fence, you can make use of the same electrical source. With an acre of land to fool with the world is your oyster!
