Right now I am using orchid mulch and was wondering how often I should change it out, and do I need to worry about any molding?

I don't think mold will grow on the mulch but my wife just want me to be sure.
I am also wandering how often I should change out his substrate.

I am not sure about mold, but I think it will. Coconut coir will not it's what I use and like it the best, holds humidity really well and does not mold.

Coco coir , cypress mulch, or organic soil are all great :)
