Hi. I just bought a 3 month old sulcata a few days ago and today i noticed that its shell was a little bit soft. Is that normal? its eating right and walking around fine i soak him for at least 20 mins every day and take him outside for 30 mins and it has a 10.0 uvb bulb. would some powdered calcium help?

It is normal, a soft shell is only a concern when a hard shell suddenly goes soft. It can take awhile to harden up.

A tortoise as young as yours is perfectly normal to have a soft shell under a lot of pressure, an older tort. However should NOT have a soft shell and if it does a lot of natural sunshine should do the trick ;)

If you haven't already, check out the threads at the bottom of my post. All of them are great for raising a happy, healthy, smooth sulcata.
