I am now the proud owner of a lovely horsefield tortoise. she has the basic essentials in her enclosure (heat and light bulb, bark, water and food bowls and chippings) but i was just wondering how to make it more interesting for Shelly..? could you pls post some pics of your enclosures..?? It would be a great help for me and my new tortoise Shelly, THANKYOU! :)

to the forum!!

Please take a look through the "regarding russians" section of the forum. We have many, many habitat pictures posted there for you to see. Here's just one of them:

Look like he in Jamaica, mon!

It's lovely! That open-mouth, "nomming the shredded lettuce" is a great photo! You may want to bury the food dish down into the substrate so he doesn't have to stretch his little neck quite so far, though. ;)

My Fat Nat has a hide made from a cardboard box and a water dish from a plant pot saucer, so Katie I sure don't know why you say yours is nothing special, I think it's great. Good job!
