Scratch/ hole/ unidentified line?

Hey All,

I have had Bilbo for more than a year now. he is now weighing around 3kg.

Anyway, we first notice a small hole/wound near his armpit however it has dried up. Now however it has spread out like a line. We are concern if he is having a skin disease/ or any parasite attack our little darling. And we are considering taking him to a doctor although I don't know how much it will help.

When a tortoise has a wound in an "active" area, it's hard to get it to heal. Just treat it as you would treat such a wound on your own leg. . . antibiotic ointment or first aid cream and keep it clean.

Is it where the shell is rubbing against it ?
Does the shell have a sharp edge there that may need filing down ?

Hi thanks for the reply. Will take a full view of him and post it . He looks quite different from my profile picture. That was when I just got him a year ago. What ointment do you recommend? I have Venol at home currently. So it's not likely to be a bug attack or parasite?
