Russian tortoise outdoor

I want to make an outdoor pen for my rusdian tortoise. We dont own the land do i dont want to put down anything permanant however im affraid of hin digging out. I want to be able to leave him outside on the nice hot days and not habe to worry/ look at him every five seconds to make sure hasnt run away. Any suggestions?

Get a portable chicken run. Look for one that has a fence floor or attach a fence floor to it. This way he can still graze on weeds and grass thru the fence.

Never put him out without an enclosure cuz you will for sure lose him.

lots of options depending on how portable/flexible you want. If you rent, but plan on being there a while, you could do a dog pen (but put pavers down around the inside to discourage digging out, but they also may be able to climb these:

you can search rabbit hutch, chicken coop, dog run, etc.

just make sure he has shade to get out of the sun if he wants, and its sturdy enough not to topple over on him

Agree with Wellington, if you leave him without a barrier you WILL Lose him
