I found the Zoomed PowerSun 100W lamps on Amazon for about $40 each with free shipping.

That's as much as 50% off retail at my Reptile Specialist Shop.

The actual vendor is petco so a quick drive for warranty replacement lamps won't be as painful as trekking to the preferred pet shop.

Ok, so I replaced every plant lamp in the Tortoise Super Stable with a 100W lamp.

The GE Reveal 65W plant spot lamp was only radiating about 200F at 12 inches away. The PowerSun is radiating 230F at the same.

Granted, it is an open pen so all the heat will really just go elsewhere.

Now, when each little piggy decides to plop and graze in the edible gardens there will always be a sufficient amount of UVA/UVB.

Before, they were warming under the plant lamps. I cringed to thinking about lumpy shells. No more.

When the T-Rex MVB's weren't available any more I bought a couple of the Zoo Med Power Suns. I have to say I like the actual bulb a lot better. The T-Rex is huge compared to the Zoo Med (both 100 watt). T-Rex sticks out a couple inches beyond the end of the bell fixture while the Zoo Med fits inside nicely.
