I have two teenage girls. A senior in high school and a freshman in college. I have no idea what it's like to raise boys....but I will tell you girls are emtionally exhausting!!!
I only have one 15 year old boy. However, having nieces I understand what you are saying. With the boys, they are very immature. They are 3-5 years behind girls as far as maturity and settling in to adulthood. Once girls get to 17-18 or so, they seem to have their head on much straighter, and goals they want to reach. The boys of the same age just want to party and do stupid things. U til they hit about 28-30 then the boys finally get it.
Okay, they kinda get it. Whether boys, or men, they are still behind us a few years. Sorry guys, but it's true and most if not every female knows it
Well he saw the specialist today. He's in a fiberglass cast for 6 weeks, no surgery though! The boy is so unhappy, but this is his best chance of healing properly. Lesson learned. I hope.
Make sure your kids have good friends. Easier said than done, but seriously hanging out with dimwits will have a profound negative effect on your child.
I'm not sure if this only works on a few people, but my parents made sure to never really be content with what I did. This may discourage some, but to me I felt as if they knew I could always do better and so I sought to do just that.
