Hi all I'v been told to ask some breeders from Asia to get a better understanding of how these Tortoises are worth, I recently moved to Vietnam (very new market in Asia) so the prices here are not as low as places such as Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. The average Rad. here is around 700-1100 $ which I think is very similar to USA. A - 3 inches B and C - 4 inches

My Questions are:

How much would A,B,C cost in USA/ UK/ Europe?

How much would A,B,C cost in Asia, in general?

Are they considered High yellow/ Semi high yellow/ or just above average colour ?

Pricing is what people will pay for it. Sometimes we are looking at living art. Hence price will reflect the demand for something unusual. For example, the market for Egyptian tortoises is ridiculous in my opinion. It is a small tan nondescript tortoise. Yet, people are willing to pay a grand for one.

I agree with deadheadvet. people are willing to pay high price because the exclusiveness, the scarcity. i heard a radiated tortoise sold for $10,000 hatchling where a normal looking one only $400, go figure. the radiated in deadheadvet's picture profile will sell easily $10,000 too.
Sometimes it depends, if you buy it at petshop, such things will be cheaper rather than you get it from the hobbyist.

Btw, happy birthday for you!!!!

As a hobbyist myself I do agree, I would but higher value on A, then B, and lastly C. A being perhaps 2.5 x the price of a normal looking one, B = 2x more, and perhaps C is normal looking? I can't decide, its very narrow therefore not very attractive however it has relatively high yellow.

May I ask your personal opinion on the value of these 3, in your opinion which one would u value more?

I'll pay 500 for each one. They are only worth what someone will pay. Hard to price them really.

C is probably more than $8000 USD in hongkong market.
B's shell shape is kinda uneven, defiantly a lot cheaper but still higher than regular ones.
A is too young to tell.
