Proud owner of a new Russian!!!

I was very honored to be given a 3 year old 4 toed Russian tortoise by a woman today. Complete with all his weight information and pictures from his hatching day and his birthdate in a file folder. It was kinda "adoption style". A few people at my oncology center knew I had been looking for a tortoise and I guess they let her know. I feel so honored to have "Tosh" now!!!

I used to be on here years ago. When I lived in Tucson. Now I am in Phoenix. My fiance is out buying an appropriate uvb hood and heat lamp for Tosh since my dragon cant be without his. <3 plans for a porch pen is already underway. I am thrilled!

Thanks everyone. I was wondering is it safe for him to be kept outside at night?? My fiance doesn't think so but I thought it would be. Also if it is we were planning on building a pen on our porch for him with substrate and such. We live in phoenix AZ if that helps anyone to give us their opinion. He's 3yrs old on 7/14. And weighs just under 12oz.
