I would try to capture some of the bugs in soapy water, they will drown and stop moving making it easier to examine under a magnifying glass.
Maybe if you have a great digital camera and a steady hand you can photograph them.

The only way to ID the bug is by sight. I took some etymology classes, but would have to see them.

When I get any kind of a tiny bug like that I take the tort out and pour boiling hot water in, then I stir it all around. It works fairly well...
