is this Mexican heather ? Edible ?
I don't know the first.
I don't believe the second is Mexican heather. Mexican heather has six petals; that plant only has five. It looks rather like a penstamon to me but I'm not sure. If it is a penstamon it's on the do not feed list but let's get someone more experienced to check.
