We have recently been invaded by both mosquitoes and chiggers, specifically in what Sheldon thinks are the tastiest areas of the yard...is there anything I can treat the grass with that won't harm him when he eats it? A neighbor suggested neem oil but I've read conflicting opinions on it's safety. Any advice would be helpful!

Diatemaceous Earth --foodinto grade ONLY ....not the stuff for pools....the food grade DE with likely kill off the chiggers...however I don't believe they will work on the mosquitos though.....:(

You can try your local feed bins ..folks use it forthe parasite control in goats and other livestock....also you can google for online sources....

For mosquitoes, you have to eliminate their breeding grounds, stagnant pools of water.
