newbie HELP please with mating tortoise

HEY,

bit of a newbie here

I have a hermann and a marginated living in the same enclosure, they have for bout 5 ish years now. the marginated is a bit bigger and 3 years older and is trying to mate with the hermanns. Im it'll do dome bad damage as its very rough!

but i dont have enough money for someother housing, i cant afford another lamp AND UV bulb AND substrate and everything else. Should i look into rehoming the marginated??? i dont want to really....

2 options re home or separate. They should not be living together really. Once the mating fights start they usually never stop.

Separate them, the mating ramming does not go away,
The only time Henri stops is when he's knackered..
Then mini will go and wake him up...

If you can't afford a separate habitat and accessories, then you probably can't afford the vet bill when one tortoise injures the other.

Sounds like rehoming is a good option for you.
