I tried this, but my hermit crab died. Petsmart doesn't keep water in there for them to fill their shells with, even though I tried to tell them.

The roomies are doing great. I put in a salt water tub for the hermies at night when the torts go to bed too. The are really digging the high humidity and warm temps. They are munching on what the torts leave behind, so it's working well. I do soak the hermies once a week tho. Their names are wicket and poppet at first Moe chased Poppet around but the novelty wore quickly

I did indeed rescue them petco. When I gave them their first soak, so much dirt came out of them, it turned their water black. I had to change their water 3 times in the course of their soak.

What gorgeous shells!!! I saw those at the pet store but I thought they were decorations... They're stylin' :-D
