I included some pictures of my new enclosure. I changed the type of substrate I was using. It is the blocks of eco earth from Petco. I didn't know if I needed to mix it with anything. Please give me any suggestions you think it may need.

Eco earth is a great substrate, it can be used alone, or mixed with topsoil or fine orchid bark. (some mix sand with it, some of us on this forum do not due to concerns about eye irritation).

Did you mix any water into it so the underlayers are moist? How deep is it in inches (hard to tell from the pics)?

Very spacious....he looks so tiny in there, which is awesome because he has lots of room to motor around...perhaps cover some of the glass in that basking corner so he feels secure while basking and can stretch out...? Lovely size enclosure and cute little tort :D

Very nice! I especially like the little stick/log hidehouse. :) Very cute.

You might consider feeding the tortoise on a piece of slate or a flat rock, rather than on a plate. That way its beak will get worn down while it eats... otherwise you'll keep having to trim it.

Lucky little tort, to have all that space!

does he try to dig or run into the glass? mine would do that because of the light glaring on the glass so she thought there was more to walk.
