Through confidence gained in tortoise care, I've brought home my second and final reptile for at least 30 years, Apepi, a 3 month old male super pastel het clown ball python c:
He's doing great! Not scared at all, climbs all over the place at night, voluntarily comes out to explore, eats every week on schedule without issue c: I have him on frozen thawed rat fuzzies about the size of a small adult mouse I shipped in bulk
I'd love to see some of your normals! They're beautiful
I don't have a photo. But I had a pet Ball Python in the middle 1980s.
It was a very calm snake. Didn't get very large. And I'd say it's an excellent choice as a pet.
Funny that I traded him for a mid sized Green Iguana. Back then. Those weren't all over south Florida.
Irene - that is one smashingly beautiful critter! Whoooeee.
Mine all "pale" in comparison. They are now cowering in shame under their hides and planning synchronized mass suicide.
I breed rats and mice for my snakes and other peoples'. I feed fresh killed. No F/T available to buy here in Jamaica - and my human family would freak to find dead rats in the freezer at home. Oh yes. Not good.
