Finally the weather warmed enough to let her outdoors for nesting.
Her urge to nest was apparent last month, but this year her winter home proved unacceptable for nesting.
She began her nest at about 2pm, she was not finished until 8pm. Luckily the temperature did not drop much after dark. 4 ova were deposited.
Her last clutch was in November 2009. I got her as a small import in 2002, I guess she is about 11 years old.
Note the cactus fibers in her mouth, she had a prenesting snack.

I was looking back to the beginning of your posts and I realized that we've never sent you a welcome!

Hi Ruanda:

Welcome to the forum!! You are a very welcomed addition to our little forum family. I'd love to see some pictures of your turtles and tortoises. May we know your name?

No signs that she has a 2nd clutch on the way. I prefer she waits until warm weather.
She is young so the reproduction seems a little sporadic still. She laid 3 clutches about a month apart in later 2009. Prior in summer 2008 she laid only 1 clutch, all infertile. 2006 and 2007 saw 1 small clutch each year, fertility was around 50% with those.
