My sulcata has a runny nose and a sneeze. Does anyone know of a reptile vet near Cape Cod MA?

I dont know anything about your area but here is everything I found in MA from the vet list. If none of them are close to you call the closest one and maybe them can refer you.
Good luck ... really.

is he eating and acting ok?
up his temps and watch him. good to find a vet regardless..
Did you just soak him when the runny nose happened?

I MAY have over reacted a bit. I was adding some bedding to my new Leopard tortoises tank (sand and mulch) which had allot of dust in it. Both tanks are in my room. The sulcata with the runny nose is 9 inches SCL and has been eating fine all week long. But after adding the new substraight to the new tortoises cage she has been sneezing and having a runny nose. I think it may be the dust from the bedding. But I'm a worry wort and fear the worst most times.

Better to be a worry wart then not ..... then end up with a very sick animal. As they say, better safe than sorry. And like Laura posted, good idea to find a Vet anyway so you can have one available right when you need one. I learned that one the hard way .. and for some reason my animals always need a Vet off hours or on Sundays.

I took my tort to the Vet because he had a runny nose, sneezing, and was not eating as much as he had been. While we were there he pooped, so we sent it to the lab for test. It is a good thing because I found out that he has a parasite. Now I get to treat him for the parasite as well as a RI.

Update.

We took our sulcata to see Dr. Mertz in Waymouth. She has a clean bill of health and even her poo looked good. Dr. Mertz was fantastic and I recommend him to anyone with tortoises in MA. I live in the upper cape and it was WELL worth the drive and the money

Glad to hear she is well and also glad the vet list was helpful. It certainly helped me when I needed it.
