i named concrete because their shells are hard like concrete.
my boyfriend named stalin cos apparently he is the iron tortoise

My husband named Boulder after deciding he looked like a rock, before that he wanted to name him nurtle the turtle, at which time I explained he is a tortoise I have since heard him explain over and over to my mother in law the difference between torts and turtles, but she doesn't get it!
