Now she isn't the prettiest of tortoise... and is sporting a double cleft... but i love these special need tortoises... and hope she is as rewarding as all my others with special needs...

I thought it would be good for everyone to see her...

Here she is... she is a right poser...

Aw-w-w! Poor thing. As if one cleft wouldn't have been good enough! Do you have to do anything special with her food?

What a poor old dear.

How does she do with eating? Do you know if the cleft is genetic, or the result of injury or infection?

I wonder if it has any chance at healing.

Thank you for posting pics . . . While all the pretty torts and turts are beautiful, I think the ones that shine the brightest are the ones you have to look past the surface to see. She is beautiful, and I hope she thrives under your care. I too, look forward to follow-ups on her....

I don't have much history on her at all... and i don't think she hatched with this deformity... i think it may be the result of an infection that went on for to long... or some other accident... her previous owner had special needs so history is very sketchy... but she is a doll...
