Just curious, did they say why it was at the shelter or did I miss that info on the post? Beautiful, non-the-less. Makes me kind of wish I was in California....

Ahh, yes the venerable gray tortoise...

It says that the adoption fees will cover mandatory sterilization, before the animal leaves the shelter. Very interesting... And they are feeding him so well too...

Can they sterlize a tortoise???? Please say that one of you nice California's will go get him. Also, I am confused can you take a Tortoise out of California?

they don't sterilize the tortoises, I adopted a turtle from there and asked about that, that is for dogs cats and rabbits.

I am pretty sure that apple has not been seeded....jeeeez....and wow, they have like alot of rabbits there, weird, who would of thought?

He was adopted by a guy who adopts a lot of reptiles from WV. I presume he's got a helluva collection (if he's not selling them). It costs $15 to adopt a repltile from LAAS...no matter what breed or size.

Wow, only $15? I adopted my dog from the pound and had to pay $60 and she is just a little shih-tzu/Llasa apso.
