I have a 3 month old 2.5" female turtle and a 1 month old 1" male turtle. When they were introduced the male tried to assert dominance after a couple weeks and they ended up being fine. Now they are both trying to do so, and of course the female who is much larger is winning. They will bask together fine, and he also likes to float on her shell, I haven't seen aggression, just fluttering and head bobbing. If they are fine together most of the time should I worry?

I would be cautious during feeding time until the male gets at least 3 inches. That's usually when turtles can get aggressive. If feeding them separately is an option I would do so to allow the male to get larger and tougher. Good luck
