Mia - brown mountain tortoise

Here's a pic of Mia soaking. She has a shell deformity, so the back part of her shell angles downward. Kind of odd looking (shell), but she is so cool and sweet! My 3 (almost 4) yr old totes her around!

Be sure to feed Mia plenty of calcium-rich foods. The sloping down over the hips sometimes means MBD (metabolic bone disease).

This was something she had when we got her. We use calcium on the food, and feed her lots of healthy veggies and fruit. We got her at the end of Jan. She's about 3 yrs old.

I love the name Mia! ;) I have a Chihuahua named Mia.

Aww thanks! My 3 year old named her! This is "her" little tort!
