I was doing some reading today and ventured across some information that confused me. I posted some links below but the main thing seems to be that the Mega Ray bulb and the T-Rex have the same design (sold under two different packagings?), and that the T-Rex might just decay slightly faster and/or not be tested quite as much.

Can anyone clarify? Any additional information? This was all I could find on Google, secondhand forum posts.

I love that website too. But, I can't find the actual answer to my question on there. No where could I find if in fact the T-Rex and Mega Ray bulbs are the same. Thanks though. :)

t-rex and mega ray are two different companies. I could find a website for megaray (reptileuv) but not for t-rex.

I know they are two different companies, but the rumor is that the inventor of the Mega Ray bulb lost the patent and/or allowed T-Rex to market the bulb under another name. They are said to be the same bulb design, but rumor is that the Mega Ray is still slightly better for several proposed reasons.
