Pictures of his neck thing. Not looking like an abscess or sting and has been there a week, probably longer. He is acting normally. Ideas?

Perfectly circular, looks like regular skin, raised.

🤔 hmm. That may or may not be serious. Any other bumps? Missing claws?

Can you tell if it looks attached or like it's sitting on there?
It reminds me of a spider egg sack.
Is it white or yellowish?
Look his skin all over carefully and slowly to see if there are any more. Check everywhere.
Also if you can try to get a clearer close up but not too close picture.

Looks like a cyst, but i don't know if that is common or worrisome in tortoises

I was once taking care of a young Sulcata which also had yellowish bumps, along with other symptoms like missing claws, and swollen jaw. Unfortunately, it was a serious bacterial disease called Austwickia chelonae. There is quite a lot of information on this site about it, but I don't remember exactly where. But that's a "worst case" scenario, and it could be really nothing at all in this case with your little one.

That would be better than a lot of other things it could be.
That might be just exactly what it is - a skin tag. Only way to know for sure is a vet visit.

Well I'm in the middle of the state sort of and the only tortoise-turtle vet I've found listed is on the gulf coast. It's just too far. We'll live with it. Thank you.

I'm in Mississippi. Our gulf coast is Ocean Springs to Waveland. Lived down there during one of my sojourns. Liked it, but I'm a woods girl not a sand girl. Thanks for looking.

Keep an eye on it. Try to size it some how so you can tell if it changes in size. If it gets bigger, you should consider the drive to a reptile vet. If it gets smaller, good, then just keep watching it.
