Lamp clamp fixture help

Is this clamp attachment the one that people advise not to use or is this one ok it looks and feels pretty sturdy but would like your opinions please

It looks fairly strong to me, too, but I know that some of these clamp fitments have been known to fail resulting in disaster, but we'll see what others say about this type.

Yea @Tidgy's Dad however I have food the hooks now that tom advised me to get to hang the dome so I think I may just goin with hooks sooner be safe then sorry

That isn't what most people call a clamp lamp - you have to bolt the base onto something with that lamp making it secure. Clamp lamps have to be clamped on, like this http://m.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/flukers-clamp-lamps# And it's failures of that clamp that people worry about.

Thanks @SarahChelonoidis i have got that bit with it also in the box but if I do use this I will screw in onto the wall of my enclosure thank you much appreciated
