Hi my name is Jade and I have a juvenile red footed tortoise named kiwi. I’m new to all of this. If anyone has any pointers it would be greatly appreciated.

This is definitely the best place to start. it is dense but will have other links in there for you to follow that are Redfoot specific. Also @ZEROPILOT is our resident Florida and redfoot guru:

Hello and welcome to the forum from South Florida
Do you need guidance with feeding, housing, lighting or all of the above?
How/where will he or she be living?
Please photograph your enclosure and your equipment and that'll help us make suggestions

Yes I need recommendations on just about everything. We are feeding her red lettuce, cucumbers and hibiscus leaves. Her temperature on her basking side is 87. We also soak her once or twice a day to make sure she is hydrated. As of right now she is indoor but we just ordered an outside enclosure.

Hello and welcome to you and Kiwi!

Here is the link to Redfoots care sheet:
It covers care basics such as diet and environment. Probably, the most tough part is to maintain humidity (more than 80%).

A few easy improvements can be done just now:
1. Get a terracota water dish, large enough to get into and soak.
2. Use some sticky tape to cover the vents below front doors. Cover the mesh top with tinfoil, plastic box or something. This will help to keep humidity high.

Keeping her outside now is possible for a few hours. Not a full day yet.
