Hi guys,

Am thinking about making up a garlic spray to get rid of the aphids that are taking over my hibiscus plants.
Just wondered if I'd still be able to feed it to my tort without problems or do I need to find a different way to repel the bugs?

Thanks

Garlic is Allum sativum, and Allums are generally speaking poisonous, though Russian tortoises have been known to eat them in the wild on occasion. I would not suggest using a garlic spray on something you plan to feed your tortoise.

This would be relatively low concentrations of garlic and if you rinsed it off before they eat it, I don't think it will do any harm. I would still feed it to my leopards.

Will you do a post advising the group of its effectiveness?
