Hi all;
It was requested that I introduce myself, So here goes.
I am 57 from Florida & Semi retired.
I have worked with animals (reptiles mostly) all my life. Well since about 8.
I worked in the import business back in the 70's & 80's & saw the first Brazilian Redfoots show up. O darn we told y'all they were from Paraguay! Well that was what the permit said!
Some things some of you may remember;
In 1991 myself , Joseph Wasilewski, Felix Valez & Todd Hardwick caught the largest python ever in south Florida it was a 22'3" reticulated.
Jan.1st 1992 myself & Tom Davis caught the second largest python in Florida, a 19'7" reticulated.
I have many friends in the animal world, both keepers & vet's.
I have seen & done many things over the years. But life is like that! The longer you live the more things happen!
Now I have a herd of Redroots & 2 Sulcata, some Cyclura a wife, son & that's it.
I don't usually write introductions. simply because people can write anything. It means squat!
A person is not what is written in the introduction.
Suffice it to say that I have a bit of reptile knowledge.
I'm a cut & dry no frills kind of call it like I see it kinda guy.
Do I know everything? NOT EVEN CLOSE!
Do I make mistakes? Well, YEAH!
Do I accept criticism? Of course, I'm married!
Will I call "Tortoise POOP, Tortoise POOP"? You darn tootin!
Last but not least.
Do I expect all of you to understand my sense of humor? Nope!
But I'll bet somewhere there are a couple old animal people saying, "I remember Tom, I cant believe it! That nuts still ALIVE!"
