I'm trying to purchase a box turtle from an out of state seller

But I don't know amything about the shipping process. So far I looked up usps/ups. Can someone just walk me through the basics of shipping a turtle? Domestic, let's say frim VA to CA.

A lot of people do UPS overnight shipping. I think thats a flat $50 but it really depends on how far your shipping it. Also I would trust "ship your reptiles" more than UPS for shipping a reptile. I ordered a very expensive laptop and UPS delivered it with the corner of the box destroyed! I open the box and half the laptop is smashed and the corners are bent over. I'm lucky I got refunded. "But man. That was the last one in stock." 😖
