Hi all,
I’m interested to understand what age group requires a humid hide. Up until what age does an RT need a humid hide?
Our RT (Ferrari) doesn’t currently have a humid hide but we want to give him whatever he needs to thrive. The wealth of advice on humid hides means I could easily implement a humidity hide if suitable for his age. He has a humidity and temperature managed table that operates at 40-60% humidity and 22C on the cool end and 36C under the lamp. We’re adding in more UV light as he gets plenty of natural light in summer, but won’t in winter. Ferrari is about 7 months old (probably a bit small at 45g).
In all the care sheets I’ve seen on here, they refer to humid hides for babies or hatchlings. The breeder we bought Ferrari from doesn’t regard 6 month olds or older as babies, so he didn’t give us advice on looking after babies.
