Hibernation Advice

We have a Greek Tortoise not sure of her age. Think shes between 2 or 4 yrs old. Weve over wintered her inside in a penn with heat lamp and UvA UVB heating and lighting. Need to know for winter. When we should put her into hibernation? Never had a tortoise. before. Need to know what to do.We live in the south west France. How often should she be bathed?

It's important to know that you don't have to brumate (reptile for hibernate) your tortoise... I live with four Russians and they stay awake/alert, and active all year long.

I bath my adult tortoises 1-2 times a month, while giving them access to waterbowls they can self-dunk in all the time.

Thanks for replying. After reading information sheet. Think we may keep her awake all year round. Would hate for anything untoward to happen to her.
Does any one know if shes micro chipped. Can we take her back to UK when we return?
