Hermanns tortoises and red radishes

Howdy, brothers and sisters! I wanted to ask you if it's safe to feed them radishes, either leaves and roots. I see contrasting opinions on the net but I fairly trust this forum.

My tortoises did not like the red radish roots. I never tried feeding the green tops, so cannot say if the tortoise would like the tops or not.

One of my favorite seed mixes has radishes in it. My tortoises eat the leaves and stems, and I would cut up or grate the little radishes and mix them in with other greens.
