I caught my Amazon Yellow laying eggs yesterday (her first time mine as well) I am totaly unprepared for it I thought that the males were still to young to mate.
my question is can I leave the eggs in the ground untill i get my incubator set up and running a the right temprature then take the eggs out of the ground? This might take a 7-10 days. Or should i just leave them in the ground and hope for the best? My concern is that by the end of the 100-120 days the weather will be to cold and i would have the tortoises inside at night and that would be to cold for the eggs as well. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreacated.

I can't really help you much except to say I have read where a few members had found eggs late and did bring them in and incubate them. I have also read to be sure to not turn them. Keep them in the position you find them.

If you don't have a problem with red ants, you can leave them where they are until you get the incubator up and running.
