Hello my name is Adriana Gonzalez my mother in law has a small tortoise and we would both like to know what kind it is and the gender, I would like to add another to our family but would like to know more about the little one we have, I would also like to know more about tortoises given the fact that they are absolutely beautiful creatures.

Your little desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) is too small yet to be able to tell if he's a boy or a girl.
