We just got a Baby Sulcata Tortoise, name is Michangelo. Friend of the family has one and we have a backyard to raise him/her. Wonderful personality for a tortoise, was very hungry when we got him in his tank.

I am making him a humid hide today, I went and got some moss, or can I just foil half the tank and put moss on top of my other substrate to put more humidity in? I am at 62% humidity right now

Yeah do what you can. That humid hide will be great. Experiment a little try the foil with\ or without moss or a lot or a little moss. Finding a balance may not be easy with an open top. At this critical stage that humidity is an important factor.

I put foil over the top, I am at 81 and 90% humidity, soaked the moss too long I guess. Is that too high?
