Hello and welcome :)

If you haven't already, please read the following. They're written by species experts who are working hard to correct the misinformation widely available on the Internet, from many pet stores and, sadly, from some breeders and vets too.

How to raise a healthy Sulcata

For those who have a young Sulcata
http://www.tortoiseforum.org/threads/for-those-who-have-a-young-sulcata.76744/

You have a nice pair of torts, but please understand that they are not social animals. They don't get lonely and they don't need, want or particularly like company.

You always have a dominant tortoise and with a pair that dominant/subordinate relationship turns into bully and victim. Gender makes no difference.

At some point in the future you will have to separate them. It could be some time off, it could be next week; there is no telling.

Hello Brian. Your baby torts are real cuties. I also got 2 babies last year not knowing about the pairs. Mine are redfooted. So far we haven't had any aggression issues which is great bcs I've been able to keep them in 40 gal covered tank which has afforded me to keep their environment at optimal temps and humidity. I'm building enclosure for them in ny back yard. The area is plenty big for several torts so we can separate them at any tume if need be. Or... get another couple of girl torts and have a tiny herd if my own Anyway, warm welcome from... Texas:) I'm in Austin area. How about you?

Awesome! You can get a herd of sulcatas and they never have to see each other! All i have is back yard in suburbs but it's not too small. I do envy your space though... Ahhh... Dream on pearly!
