I have a spur cross tortoise that is 6 years old. I keep him (or her) in a room in my house. He is now getting bigger and I need to think about a permanent habitat for him. I would love for it to be outside, with a radiant heat flooring of some type. Has anyone experience with winters and tortoises?

Welcome to the forum. I am in Spokane WA and have Leopards. I bring mine in for winter months. Others have built heated sheds.

Welcome to the Forum! May we see pictures of your tortoise? We have a couple that it might be - spur thigh, which would be a Greek tortoise, and African spurred, which would be a sulcata.

hello and a very warm welcome to Tortoise Forum.
Our enclosures section here has lots of good information on outdoor habitats for different types of tortoise.
