Hi everyone, Im not sure if i am being a bit obsessive over my new tortoise but ive noticed it moving both its legs and head a little bit when breathing. Is this normal?
She makes no sound but she has sneezed once or twice before and there have been bubbles on her nose which disappeared quite quickDoes it make a sound or any bubbles from the nostrils?
Okay, thanks Yvonne.Yes it's quite normal.
That sounds like normal breathing.Hi everyone, Im not sure if i am being a bit obsessive over my new tortoise but ive noticed it moving both its legs and head a little bit when breathing. Is this normal?
It's not really excessive, just occasional lolThat sounds like normal breathing.
If its excessive, and if the tortoises is doing this heavily while at rest, it could be the start of a RI.
ohh okay, thank youTortoises don't have diaphragms like people do. The head and legs bobbing slightly while breathing is normal because of a tissue like pseudodiaphragm attached to their legs.
