Growing Weeds from Parks

Hey,

I know it isnt a good idea to give your tortoise weeds or grasses from areas that you arent sure have been sprayed with anything, but if you were to pick various weeds from a neighborhood park and try to reproduce them at home (trimming the old leaves off), would they still be risky to feed to your tortoise?

There shouldn't be any reason not to as long as you treat it the same way you would treat a plant that was just bought from Home Depot.
