Franklin Update - pyramiding?

Franklin has been with us for more than a year and a half now. Just wanted to get an opinion from our TortoiseForum friends on how he looks and of course if we have manged to keep him from pyramiding.
Your input would be greatly appreciated.

He looks fantastic! It looks like there is slight pyramiding but that looks to be old growth, all the new growth looks nice and smooth.

This might be a silly question, but which would be the new growth and which the old? Thanks.

The older the growth the closer it is to the scutes. Think of it as a chia pet lol, all of the old grass is at the top and the new grass is just coming out.
