After a follow up with the Reptile Vet, I ended up at a Vet Eye specialist. Nice lady. The RT did have an object in the eye: a hair or thread that was stuck under the eyelid and on the eye, acting like a windshield wiper any time she blinked. The Vet spent about 30" with a slit lamp and curved tiny tweezers and was only able to move it to the lower eye, but could not get it out. (Tort kept moving for some reason!).
We thought the tort would need to be anesthetized but within 2-3 days she was much better (kept up the Terramycin) and seems to be healed up. We think by unsticking the object from the eye, it was able to be washed out with bathing.
All's well that ends well, we hope.[/b] Hard to imagine that was in there for quite awhile. And no, she has only been on substrate, not on the floor, so not sure how this got there...
