I have a russian tortoise I got from a pet smart a few months ago it seems to be doing fine it's active but the past couple of days he's had a pinkish discharge in his food bowl but hasn't eaten anything non green in a while except a few carrots i fed him a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure what it is and the picture may not be clear enough to see I can try and get something better later when he eats .tortoise stool.jpg

So the pinkish color isn't anything to worry about? Like I said it came from a pet smart adult size and I've recently heard they're usually wild caught and have a lot of issues at times.

Sometimes when they pee out mucous it means they have a load of flagellates, especially wild caught. If you take a stool sample to the vet be sure to tell him if you suspect flagellates, because they usually only look for the other type parasites.

No, the pinkish color isn't worrisome.
